Oquirrh Mountain Temple

I took these when I went on a temple date with my husband. This was my first time going to the Oquirrh Mountain temple since before it was dedicated. It's become one of my favorite temples. Its so beautiful inside and out. There was a fire on the mountain right behind the temple that day, so that is why there is smoke in the background. Although the fire was unfortunate, I think it really added to the photograph.

San Diego Temple

For a while I've been trying this thing where I take photos of all the temples I go to. It's been such a wonderful experience photographing these beautiful structures. I get such a wonderful feeling looking at them, and I hope through my photography you can get a wonderful feeling looking at them through my photographs.
I shot these photographs while I was visiting San Diego in August. I had never actually seen this temple up close, but it is absolutely gorgeous. I was definitely in awe.

I strongly believe photography is like having a new pair of eyes. You can see the world differently behind the lens; you are able to find beauty that others may not always see or take for granted. This is why I love photography,  because it helps me to appreciate the simple beautiful things that are around us everyday.
